Position is responsible for leading the assembly of axles and brake components. Specific duties include:
- Directs the activities of the production line associates ensuring all quality, safety productivity and housekeeping requirements are met.
- Makes and follows plans to meet customer demands
- Identifies training requirements for new associates and ensures resources are provided
- Reviews production order requirements and schedules work accordingly
- Works closely with maintenance to minimize downtime
- Ensures accuracy of all data entry into MRP system
Must have leadership experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment; axle or brake assembly specific experience preferred. Candidates must be dependable and have excellent attendance history, good leadership characteristics, mentoring ability, flexible, energetic, and team focused.
Must have the ability to read and interpret work instructions and prints, understanding of lean manufacturing principles, be adaptable to a fast paced work environment and ability to work a flexible schedule as well as overtime.
